In many cases, it is necessary to detect the running speed of the belt. Some production processes even have very important requirements for detecting the running speed of the belt. The BZ2604 belt speed monitoring system is a specially designed instrument based on this requirement.

The BZ2604 belt speed monitoring system consists of a BZ2604 belt speed monitoring and protection system controller and a BZ1510 belt speed monitoring and protection system probe, which is particularly suitable for long-distance speed measurement of long belts.

The traditional belt speed measurement methods are speed sensors or speed generators, etc. The speed measurement characteristics of these sensors are to convert the belt speed into corresponding analog signals, and then transmit them to the instrument for amplification and conversion. However, due to the susceptibility of analog signals to interference, the farther the transmission distance, the greater the interference. Moreover, due to the influence of line resistance and capacitance, the output signal is greatly attenuated, the accuracy is reduced, and even cannot be used normally.

Our developed belt speed monitoring and protection system probe can overcome the above shortcomings. Its basic working principle is to use an external contact wheel to convert the linear velocity of the belt into angular velocity (converting the linear motion speed of the belt into the rotational speed of the contact wheel), transmit it to the electromagnetic induction device through the wheel axle, and convert the speed into a digital pulse signal, which is transmitted to the monitoring and protection system controller through the cable. Since the digital pulse signal is transmitted in a digital way, it is not easily affected by AC power and radiation electromagnetic fields. Due to the large amplitude of the digital signal, there is no strict restriction on its shape, so it is minimally affected by cable resistance and capacitance, and there will be no error in transmission for several kilometers, thus ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measuring speed.
